Madagascar Institute

I founded and ran the Madagascar Institute, a Brooklyn based art combine and non-profit. We had a shop at the top of the Gowanus Canal where we tried to cover all bases: from sewing to welding to flamethrower tuning to art bikes and jet-powered carnival rides. We taught classes, broke laws, sprayed blood on the ceiling.
Sadly, NYC real estate is a blood sport.
I got to witness twenty years of my hopes and dreams crushed into dust.
A\Before that we single-handedly birthed the NYC Maker community, traveled all over the world making awesome stuff, and changed a lot of lives while ending only a few.
